Latest Brugler Live Cattle Report
More Brugler ReportsCattle are expected to open 10 to 30 cents lower this morning. Wholesale prices are dropping into the holiday weekend as expected. Choice was down $1.02 to $163.64 in the pm report, with select down 2 at $156.88. Cash cattle traded at $97 after some feedlots dropped their asks and it became apparent that packers didn’t want a big forward book ahead of the Labor Day holiday weekend. USDA weekly beef export sales totaled 11,600 MT. That was down from the prior week, but still 8% above the 4 week moving average. Japan and Vietnam were the largest buyers.
