Latest Brugler Corn Report

-More Brugler Reports

Corn is expected to open steady to 2 cents lower. Declining crop production estimates were the main focus of yesterday’s rally, along with ideas that USDA would show weekly export sales in the 1.0-1.3 MMT range again this morning. Actual sales, net of old crop cancellations and deferrals, were larger than that at 1.658 MMT. FC Stone projected 1 13.195 billion bushel US crop on an average yield of 162.9 bushels. Linn Group is going for the low ground at 160.7 bushels and a 13.016 billion bushel crop. Fund buying was estimated at 10-12,000 contracts on Wednesday. Ethanol futures were up 0.6 cents at $1.944/gallon. There are conflicting estimates of more corn/less beans and more beans/less corn in South America this fall. Overnight action was -3/4 to -1 1/4 cents.
